About Laxminarayan Prabhakar
Dr. Laxminarayan Prabhakar is a pulmonary and critical care physician with a deep commitment to understanding how sleep impacts women's health. He is currently completing a Sleep Medicine fellowship at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell, building specialized expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders, with a particular focus on how these conditions uniquely affect women.
Dr. Prabhakar brings a strong clinical and academic foundation to his work. He completed his Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine fellowship at St. Joseph's University Medical Center, his Internal Medicine residency at New York Medical College at St. Michael's Medical Center, and earned his medical degree from the American University of Antigua College of Medicine.
His research has been published in peer-reviewed journals including the European Journal of Case Reports in Internal Medicine, AME Case Reports, CHEST, and the Journal of Investigative Medicine High Impact Case Reports, spanning topics from complex ICU diagnostics to pulmonary oncology.
